Every year we remember the people who died in world war 1/2.
The remembrance poppy has been used since 1921 to commemorate soldiers who have died in war. Poppies started by a man called John McCrae who wrote a war poem(called In The Flanders Fields)about poppies when he saw poppies growing on the battlefield. Poppies originally began in America but eventually went on to Great Britain, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.
This is on Thursday 6th November.
Soon there will be a party to celebrate different people from different parts of the world. There be:
…and so much more! 3:15 – 5:00 If you can make it there we hope you enjoy the party!

At the harvest festival I thought that lots of people contributed to the food for the Food Bank which helps foodless people. In the festival all of the year groups performed songs , stories or even poems. The whole school performed three songs altogether. Most year groups sang songs but Year 2 and 6 told stories. Year 4 recited a harvest poem. Everybody had fun and I think that we should do it again because it helps a worthy cause.
