On the 22nd of July Year 4 had an art day of drawing animals and painting them. We used all our techniques from Mrs Vallis to draw them. We also held an art gallery in the hall to show our parents our work!

There were 5 workshops and they did …
– Cooking: Swedish chocolate balls(sweden) and they did biscuit decorating the picture of the flag(Africa)
– Nepalese dancing(Nepal)
– Joumalism: the children used ipads to write reports to send to the country Jordan.
– Music group: they sang and played instruments.
The children had their own passports and every time they visited a different country they would get a stamp.
Mrs Hopkins said “The Nepalese dancing was my favourite part of the day because it was something I’ve never done before, it was fun and I learnt something new!”

On Friday 28th of June, 2 ladies came in to do skipping with the whole school. They were from the British jump rope team. They had half an hour with each class to skip. During that time we learned how to skip they showed us cross skip and lots of other clever skips and now we are all doing skipping on the playground.
