Send My Friend To School

Fairfields Primary School has supported Send My Friend To School again this year. We made ‘teachers’ which have been sent to the government to persuade them that children all around the world need a teacher so that they get a right to an education. Our local MP is Maria Miller. We hope she passes on our important messages. The government says that all children should be in school by 2016…they haven’t got very long! 3 more years left.

Pole Vaulter Visits Fairfields

How would you feel about meeting an Olympic Athlete? Well Jack Phipps came to our School to tell us about pole vault.
He showed us his pole vault stick. After assembly, classes went into the hall and did spotty dogs, star jumps, press ups and legs drivers. He made us tired!

On Wednesday the 5th June at 12.30 the awesome Year 4 cricketers when to play cricket. They played diffent schools such as: St John’s, Oakly, Rucstall and St Mary’s. The girls and boys both played very well but unfortunately didn’t win a game. At the end we all sat down and thanked all the people who helped make the tournament happen. Overall, the year 4 girls came 4th and the boys came 3rd. St Mary’s came 1st for girls and boys. Well done to them!
