The Brodowski Quartet came to Fairfields!

The instruments were 2 Violins, the Cello and Viola. There was a theme of the seasons, playing music that represented all 4 of them.

They also played a game which was throwing the ball and creating a rhythm and another game by putting the ears on the person that was playing the sound of the dog. They gave out cards which was for when they called the card out the person who had the card would come up and put it on a stand and take a bow. The cards had special musical words on like; forte (loud), piano (quiet) and Vivaldi (a musician). They would play lots of different types of music for us.

We enjoyed it so much and it inspired us into playing an instrument. The Quartet each started playing at age 5-8. They were an amazing group! At the end they asked how many people play instruments and a lot of hands went up! Fabulous!!

Year 6 Production

Year 6’s production is about Frankenstein and it is very funny but a little bit scary. My favourite bit was when the friendly monster ran around in circles.

Reported by Lois (Blogging club)

Some other opinions:

“It was awesome and I liked Frankenstein’s monster Xavier and their party where they sang the Monster Mash.” (Rebecca, 3M)

“I really like the singing and all the expression.” (Alisha, 3F)

“I liked the court scene because the monsters were attacking the humans.” (Florence, 4T)

“I thought it was quite scary but good.” (Lorenzo, FS1)

“I liked the way the monster moved!” (Naval, 3M)

Comenius visitors

When the Comenius visitors came to our school they visited our classrooms. One day they also had fun visiting Marwell Zoo and Winchester. They enjoyed an evening meal in the school of traditional fish and chips followed by a Europe-themed quiz.
